PUBLIC RECORD PROFILES
Public office, on the record
Structured, evidence-led profiles of people holding significant public power across Sussex. Profiles separate documented facts, public decisions and open accountability questions. They are updated when stronger or newer primary evidence becomes available.
PROFILE 001 · LAST CHECKED 16 SEPTEMBER 2026Bella Sankey
Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council and chair of its Cabinet. This profile brings together her current public roles, documented decisions, allowances source trail and the WATCH material connected to her record.
OPEN PUBLIC RECORD PROFILE Method: WATCH uses the same evidence categories for each profile and links back to source material. A profile is not a finding of wrongdoing and does not score a politician's character, ideology or fitness for office. Related reporting and investigations remain separate and are cross-linked where relevant.
